Empower sellers and get out of the way!
Randy Smythe's musings on the world of ecommerce, social networking, Web 2.0, Google, Amazon, Buy.com,Yahoo, Squidoo, online marketing and still probably a lot of stuff about eBay.
Left me feeling sad :-(www.ACEOart.net
Funny! I did a link back to you here from the eBay Stores Board on a thread I called "eBay Attempting World Domination?"They pulled it instantly...There will be much censorship on eBay beginning July 1. Trust me.
If you really think about it, yea, it is kind of sad isn't it Pat?Rich, wow, they pulled the thread ... that must have hit a nerve.I would have thought Donahoe might even have laughed at it.
Randy Smythe - if they really are trying to do away with small sellers and auctions, then I really do hope I get to see them fall flat on their faces! :-(Incidentally, I love in Yorba Lindawww.ACEOart.net
oops...meant "live" in Yorba Linda LOL
Hey Neighbor,I'm not far from you then. I live over by El Dorado H.S.
Hahahahahahaha!PERFECT analogy.Thanks for the much-needed humor. :D
Yep - we're neighbors...I'm near the Nixon Library LOL Small world.
'The Brain' always struck me as a young Dom Deloise or George Carlin type of guy. Sadly, Donahoe is neither...no sense of humor, and not one Speck of 'ebay-ness'.Sellers were ALWAYS smarter than ebay. That's howcome they could see every new fee coming, even MILES away. Can't tell you how many times I've suggested a feature then they implemented it.Can't tell you how many times I've used a feature and wondered, "When are they going to start CHARGING me for this?"Bingo.
Ice Cream Man (icecreamman.com) recently tried to auction a sponsorship to help give away free ice cream and ebay shut it down for dubious reasons. The story is here:Ebay Hates Free Ice Cream
