I Need Seller Dashboard Info!

Since I don't sell on eBay any longer, I don't have access to the new Seller Dashboard. I would love it if one or two of you would send me some screenshots or some info from your Seller Dashboards. I will hide any user information.

Since the S&H cost DSR is being used to disadvantage sellers in Best Match, can you forward me your 30 day DSR for S&H and tell me if you charge actual shipping, free shipping or add handling charges.

I'm trying to determine if it is possible to raise this DSR in a 30-day period without significant changes in the way you do business.

Thanks! Send any info to rksmythe at yahoo dotcom or just post in the comments section.

Ours is 4.7 for our S&H 30 day DSR. We normally charge $3.99 for Media and $6.99 for Priority ($12.49 for FC Int'l and $16.99 for Priority Int'l). We do charge more for very large items (especially Int'l shipments) and for sets.

This is very similar to what Amazon and other venues charge, so it seems like a fair amount to charge to me.

Hi Melissa,

Thanks for the info. I think 4.7 for S&H charges is good so you should be in the advantaged group in Best Match but you unfortunately don't qualify for the 15% discount on FVF.

You might get it to 4.8 next month and then be down to 4.6 the month after that.

As much as possible, I try to charge actual shipping charges for each item I sell. The only exceptions are for items that have to be professionally packed. In those cases, it's made very clear that the buyer is going to pay the actual cost of professional packing in addition to the shipping charges.

If I make an error and undercharge I eat the loss. If I make an error and overcharge, I always refund the buyer the overage.

I use several seller IDs and most are devoted to one collector area of interest. All my DSRs, including shipping and handling are either 4.8 or 4.9 across the board.

Gary, thanks for the info, many of the larger sellers would have to change their whole business around to get 4.8s and 4.9s for the Shipping DSRs so its just not worth the time and effort. The 15% isn't a big enough carrot.

As long as they don't get disadvantaged in Best Match they won't change a thing.
