I Love the Internet!

One of my favorite things to do while surfing the Internet, is to find articles from a few months or even years past and read them in view of the present day, ie. eBay articles with comments from Meg Whitman in 2003 and see what has changed at eBay in the meantime. Of course many of my posts fall into the same category. Sometimes I'm right and sometimes I'm wrong. History, is a wonderful teacher.

Here are some examples:

Of course some of my previous posts have been wrong. Just recently I predicted that StubHub would beat out TicketMaster for the right to the NFL games and today TicketMaster announced they had won the rights.

I hope you find them as enjoyable and if you come across an old article or blog post that is interesting please let me know.

Hi Randy, out of curiosity, what do you make of Overstock's 60%+ share price decline in 6 weeks? I don't follow them at all but i have heard you mention them a couple of times as takeover candidates.

Only eBay,

Overstock is a public company but the majority of shares are owned by Byrne and other family members.

I think it could be a valuable acquisition for a company like Amazon because they would turn it into a profitable business.

The problem is, Byrne owns controling interest and he's very hard to deal with.

Overstock Shareholders should be very upset with the value of their holdings but they can't really do anything about it.
