It took Amazon YEARS to develop and "perfect" their system of ASIN authority, which still isn't even close to perfect. But this would be made TWICE as hard if eBay wanted to a) create their own system, and b) somehow integrate the best match algorithim into it. <BR/><BR/>The whole idea on Amazon is that "something has to already exist on Amazon before you can list it to the site" The whole idea with eBay is, "Check out this cool baseball card collection I found in my dad's attic".
