....why is it I just never believe 100 percent of what that man says? I'm sure the regular posters on the inkblog will go over what he said with a fine tooth comb. ;-)

To RB-H at ebay ink & Griff,

Tell us how much Buy.com is paying ebay in insertion fees and/or final value fees.

Don't you think the thousands of longtime ebay sellers in all of those catagories deserve to at least know what they are competing against?

You've basically given the core tranche
away to Buy.com. My sales are down because of this.

Griff's statement about how the Diamond Power Sellers will bring in new business that we will all share from is absurd!! You don't think all those SKUs weren't already available on ebay FOR YEARS NOW!!

How stupid do you think we are?

Your parents must be very proud of you.

Until you give us a believable figure, about what you are charging Buy.com, we won't believe a word you PR guys say.

One more thing; thank you, Randy, for letting us post anonoymously at your blog.

I would have posted the above statement at the ebay ink blog but in the current climate at ebay, I believe any seller better think twice about posting anything remotely telling or critical over there...

Yes Randy. Thanks for allowing us to post anonymously since retribution by eBay is not outside the realm of possibility.

I agree strongly with Anonymous #1: be very careful about posting on any eBay blog or board. I wouldn't be atall surprised if eBay has a "Dirty Tricks" group to go after people it doesn't like. With their political affiliations and heavy lobbying etc., it's part of the same bag. Not to be paranoid, oh no...

Okay, now everybody remember to wear your Tin Hats when posting Anonymously. :)

To be serious, I've heard some strange things happening to those sellers who speak out, but it's probably just a coinkydink :)

Everybody knows eBay is controlled by reptilian space aliens in human skins who have a 1000-year plan to enslave the human race, starting with eBay sellers. They use mindmelding techniques to get us to offer free shipping and not accept checks. I personally know several sellers who revealed some of the secrets behind them, and were vaporized within 3 days. Resistance Is Futile. Tinfoil can help, though.

There isn't a dirty tricks group, the business strategy of the entire company is to use dirty tricks to drive the small sellers away. Impossible-to-get discounts on 4.9 DSRs, hiding listings with Best Match, Free Shipping to get FVF on it, PayPal fees on sales tax, FVF on sales tax if they can get away with it, violations on listings that don't break any rules, no recourse to get these violations canceled, 10-year sellers kicked off with no way to appeal, unpaid items up 200% since the feedback change, Customer Support staffed by ignorant children, etc. etc.
