Empower sellers and get out of the way!
Randy Smythe's musings on the world of ecommerce, social networking, Web 2.0, Google, Amazon, Buy.com,Yahoo, Squidoo, online marketing and still probably a lot of stuff about eBay.
My God, those were the most boring keynote speeches... They sure took the easy way out.Hey Randy, have you thought about this: FeeBay says that the amount of negative feedback has stayed the same in the past month. Well if sellers can no longer leave negative feedback, and the amount of negative feedback has stayed the same, wouldn't that just mean that the buyers have left double the amount of negative feedback that they used to? Or at least more! Think about it...If eBay had said that the amount of buyers who leave negative feedback has stayed the same, then that would be one thing. But that's not what they said...
Well That Was As Expected.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHY0r3Sn9rc(snicker)
Randy,Any hints as to when they are going to enforce fixed allowable shipping/handling charges for certain catagories (like media)? We know they are rolling it out in Germany now, but we sure would like to know when it is going to happen in the USA...?Please let us know what you are hearing from the media seller trenches! Thanks for your hard work!Stephen
Stephen,I'm hearing that the change will happen in Oct. or late Sept. but I couldn't get anybody at eBay to confirm. They didn't appear to like the line of questioning.
