News From ChannelAdvisor Catalyst

ChannelAdvisor is holding their annual conference this week in Pinehurst, North Carolina and unfortunately I was unable to attend, but Chris Dawson of Tamebay is there and is providing updates, according to one attendee there appears to be some real optimism about the future of online selling:

  • CA Announces Strategic Alliance with Buy.com - When the ability to list on Buy.com through CA goes live this Summer, ChannelAdvisor will be the only 3P management platform to facilitate sales on eBay, Amazon, Overstock and Buy.com in addition to their Search and CSE channel management applications.
  • eBay to Rebalance Fees Again - Look for more changes in the months to come. Based on what Chris is saying in his blog post. I look forward to the changes being made. Category specific changes will benefit sellers greatly. It appears the broad brush that eBay used in the past is gone forever.

There are over 400 attendees at this years conference and I will have further updates as they come in.

Just my 12%

Hi Randy - Darryl Parker from Charlotte. We ate together with Kevin Harmon at Greg's Barbecue last year this time.

The Catalyst show was great. I was especially impressed with the speaker from Nike and his illustrations as to the directions Nike is going in social marketing.

Mind if we connect on LinkedIn? My email is darryl at-at-at parkerweb.com
