Amazon Gots Widgets!

Amazon has gone Web 2.0 with their affiliate program with the introduction of Affiliate Widgets for blogs, websites etc. Like the Product Cloud in my sidebar underneath my Profile. Here are some other examples that I've put together:

I'm certainly interested in finding ways to monetize my content and who knows maybe this will work. Amazon, like eBay is reaching out with Distributed Commerce tools like Widgets to find new customers where they hang out.

I like it Randy, I already created one to replace the single Amazon ad on my home page.

Now maybe I can actually start earning something from Amazon. I really only use ads from them, eBay and Google and they've always been a distant third for me--actually I'd been thinking about removing them altogether, but I like the looks of this.

Cliff, I've had the same experience with Amazon affiliate links. I like the Product Cloud and the slide show.

Maybe as we get closer to Christmas we will see some bigger returns from the Amazon links.

I think if readers were planning on buying from Amazon anyway you would think they would use one of our links as a way of showing us how much they loved us :)

Making money at blogging takes time and persistence.

I haven't tried the product cloud yet, but I'll look at it on your recommendation.

I'm definitely going to play some more with their new toys, as I'm plotting a little site redesign so it's a good time to try and fit them in.

I had previously been using mostly the individual product links. It's a movie collectibles site, so you'd think they'd be a good fit! ..But not really.

But if I can now advertise 10-12 related products in spots where I used to put one it's got to help. And the slideshow seems to load very fast, so that's a good thing.
