Update On StubHub And PayPal

A while ago, I wrote a post asking why Half.com and Stubhub didn't accept PayPal. I never really received a satisfactory response to the question until today. It appears that StubHub does use PayPal as a method for paying sellers. I'm sure I would have known that, had I ever sold a ticket on StubHub before, so at least part of the question was answered. I would imagine that some day, in the not too distant future, StubHub would allow buyers to use PayPal also. So that at least makes since. What doen't make sense is why Half.com doesn't use PayPal in any form. They could at least use PayPal to pay their sellers like StubHub does. Wouldn't it pay to have PayPal integrated into Half.com? Just look at all that transaction revenue PayPal is missing out on.

Perhaps there is a higher level of fraud on these sites and they don't want to offer PayPal protection......

Trevor, I think the reason for not integrating Paypal into Half.com was based on ROI. My guess is the cost out weighed the benefit. But that is just a guess.

I am sure until eBay acquired StubHub in February there was no real demand to pay with PayPal. I imagine the people who buy premium tickets are much more likely to use Amex and Visa.

Stub hub is absolutely the worst in the world if you are a seller. Avoid it like the plague. It's been 2 months, they still haven't paid me ad customer service gives me the runaround every time. Craigslist or ebay way better

It is against PayPal's policy to allow companies like Half.com to use PayPal as a merchant account.

StubHut uses them because they are owned by them and everyone else can go to hell, accornding to the company :-)
